IBENA - From beginning of 1401 to July 20th, government has settled 49,631 billion Tomans of debts from previous years. Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance in 13th government has presented a continuous and weekly report on government debts and claims, and 23rd report of center of management of public debt has just been published. According to this report and budget law of 1401, government must sell 103 trillion tomans of securities this year, but since beginning of 1401, government has sold 45 trillion tomans of securities, of which 15 trillion tomans were non-cash bonds and 30 thousand billion tomans in cash.
Based on performance of sale of debt securities in years 2015 to 2022, sales of state bonds increased from 10,500 billion tomans in 2015 to 202,465 billion tomans in 2020, but in 2014 it has decreased to 182,500 billion tomans. Also, based on the plan, sales of bond in 2022 will be lower than in 2021. According to this report, government must have repayment of 171,989 billion tomans of principal and interest of bonds sold in previous years. According to the table, government must pay 522 thousand and 178 billion tomans of principal and interest of published bonds by end of 2025. From beginning of this year to date of this report, 37 thousand billion Tomans have been paid as principal and 12 thousand 631 billion Tomans as interest of debt bonds issued in previous years.
